Message	it will all depend on the driver specs. i work at a car audio shop and deal with this everyday. your sealed box now has acertain note that it will hit well and a ported will have the same. your dealing with the tuning of the box and every box will sound different. there are also many different woofers and every box sounds differnt w/ new woofers. my opinion sealed is better for a sound quality and ported will hit those low notes (if tuned right)
